Jani Zhao is a leading European Asian actress from Portugal, born to Chinese parents. She began acting at 15 and studied at the School of Professional Theatre of Cascais. A trained ballet dancer, Zhao extended her dance expertise with renowned choreographers at the Olga Roriz Company.

Her recent work includes TV roles in South (HBO) and The Cowboy (premiering this December), and notable film credits in Pilgrimage, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, Grand Tour, and Global Project. Zhao has also appeared on top theater stages in Portugal and internationally.
