SELIM BAYRAKTAR

Selim Bayraktar is a famous Turkish actor who was born in Kirkuk, Iraq in 1975 to a Turkish father and Turkman mother. He moved to Turkey due to unrest in Iraq and became interested in theatre. He shifted into TV and gained success in 2006 with his portrayal of Sumbul Agha in the historical fiction series Suleiman The Magnificent Century. The series was broadcast worldwide and is considered one of the most successful Turkish dramas. Bayraktar received international recognition for his role in the Netflix original series Rise of Empires: Ottoman.
